Speech recognition
<87.5..108.0>", you need to
exchange "<87.5..108.0>" for
a specific figure between 87.5 and
108.0. You could say,
e.g., "Frequency 96 dot 3".
Help messages
You can induce the system to read
out all voice commands currently
available.
After saying the command:
■ "Help": the system reads out the
most important commands
available for the currently active
mode of operation.
■ "More help": the system reads out
all additional commands available
for the currently active mode of
operation.
■ "General help": the system reads
out all main commands, see "Main
help menu" above.
Lists with selectable items
During dialogue sequences you are
often prompted to select an item (e.g.
a preset radio station or a city name)
from a list.
Example: Autostore lists
To select an item from such a list, you
only need to say the number in front
of the desired list item, e.g. "5".
In most cases there are several
"pages" of list entries available. To
switch from one "page" to another,
you need to say "Next" or "Previous".
On each page the list items are
numbered from "1." to "6." (no
consecutive numbering).
On-screen messages and acoustic
prompts / feedback
During dialogue sequences you are
often prompted via on-screen
messages (see image below) and
voice output messages, which kind of
command you need to say next.
Example: Storing a radio station
using a name
If the radio mode is active and you say
the command "Add station name", the
on-screen message shown above will
be displayed, and the voice output
message "Please say the station
name." be announced by the system.
