Inspection and maintenance

> Place the entire compact thermal module (5) onto the
integral condensation heat exchanger.
> Tighten the five nuts (2) across the diagonal until the
burner door fits closely and uniformly onto the mat-
ing surfaces.
> Insert the ignition cable and the earth cable of the
ignition electrode (4).
> Only ecoTEC exclusive 832: Insert the cables on the
fan motor and the cable on the gas fitting. Only eco-
TEC exclusive 838: Close the mains coupling to the
fan.
> Connect the gas supply (6) with a new gasket to the
gas fitting. Use the spanner flat at the flexible gas line
to hold the gas line.

Risk of poisoning and explosion due to
escaping gas!
Damage to pipes and seals or loose screws
can result in leaks.
> Open the gas supply.
> Check the unit for gas leaks with leak
detection spray. Check the screwed connec-
tion (6) particularly carefully.
> Check that the blue gasket in the air intake pipe (1) is
correctly located in the gasket seat.
> Insert the air intake pipe on the suction nozzles and
secure the pipe with the retaining screw (3).

all water-carrying components.
> Allow the components to cool down before
starting work.

If you fail to protect the electronics box ade-
quately, water can penetrate the box when it
is being cleaned and damage the electronics.
> Protect the electronics box from being

splashed with water when it is folded down.

When removing the secondary heat
exchanger, protect the opening in the appli-
ance from dirt contamination!

> Isolate the appliance from the house electricity circuit
(see Section 8.3) and close the gas supply.
> Close the maintenance cocks -if fitted- and the cold
water inlet valve on the inlet combination, and drain
the appliance.
> Release the nut (4) on the secondary heat exchanger.
> Release the clamp (1) on the preference changeover
valve.
> Release the clamps (2) and (3) on the secondary heat
exchanger.
> Remove the secondary heat exchanger to the side.
> Flush the secondary heat exchanger thoroughly with
clean water.
> When re-assembling, use new O rings and flat seals,
the part numbers can be obtained from the parts
catalogue.
