You may also search for Master Controllers by clicking on Search for Masters. This opens the Search for
Masters dialog (FIG. 58):

Select the IP address of your Master Controller and then click on Select to Add to add it to your list of IP/URL
addresses. See the Searching for Masters on the Subnet section on page 12 for details.
Error During a File Transfer – Invalid Device Mapping
A file may not transfer to a device if the Device Mapping is invalid.
Device Mapping information consists of a Device Number, a Port Number and a System Number (D:P:S).
To change the D:P:S:
1.
Select the device within the File Transfer List window.
2.
Right-click to open the context menu, and select Device Mapping. This opens the Enter DPS dialog
(FIG. 59):

Enter the correct D:P:S and click OK.

After changing the device mapping, deselect all the files that did transfer successfully and make sure the
problem file is selected in the File Transfer List.

Click on Start Searching to display a listing of all NetLinx Masters that are broadcasting on the
network.
Click on Stop Searching when you see the master controller you wish to communicate with.
