Modify option window for the
DCU/IRS menu
Note
You can use the Alt–C and
Alt–D key combinations to
speed up your selections. The
Alt–C key combination will
copy all the functions listed
into the DCU Function De-
scription list. Using the Alt–D
key combination will delete all
functions listed in the left col-
umn. No specific highlighting
is needed to use these short-
cuts. If there are DCU function
descriptions already in posi-
tions occupied by functions in
the Hand Control file, Alt–C
will replace them in the DCU
function list.
Note
The following steps are creat-
ing a custom file. A Custom
file differs from the one loaded
in steps 1 through 3 in that
additional functions are
added/deleted into function
positions selected by the user
rather than those defaulted by
the IRL file.

Application and Use
This area is where the
function list will be con-
structed.
1.
Select your first Hand Control by using the arrow keys to highlight the desired
manufacturer hand control from the list in the middle.

When you first enter the MODIFY window (Figure 20), the top row will be
highlighted with the left side blinking (and all letters are capitalized).
Press return to load the Hand Control function list into the right column.

If you want all the functions of the selected Hand Control, use Alt–C. The list

will be transferred from the right column into the DCU function description col-
umn on the left.

If you do not want to customize the list, skip to the Programming an AXC-
IR/S card subsection.

If you want a particular list of the functions, continue with step 4.

Highlight the DCU function position on the left column (designated with a number)
with the flashing bar. Either choose to alter an existing function position or place
the new function in a blank position.

Press ENTER or RETURN to activate the position for accepting the new function.
Press the left arrow to move to the right column.

Highlight the function choice to be stored to the previously selected function po-
sition on the left. The function that you choose in the right column will now be
moved to a function position in the left column of the Modify page.

listed in this area.
