INDICATION ON THE FRONT PANEL AND COUNTERMEASURES

If for some reason, printing is not possible or error occurs during printing, the indicator on the front panel will be
illuminated or lit on and off.
In this case, follow the procedure described below.

When setting the continuous printing, the continuous printing is carried out again after the error indication goes off.

During printing, the error indication may not illuminate.

Causes and Countermeasures
DATA
The door is open.
• Close the door.
The temperature of the thermal head becomes too high.
• Wait until the indication goes off. * Note 1
Ink sheet is not set.
Ink sheet is used up.
• Replace the ink sheet with a new one.
Alarm for the ink sheet remainings * Note 2
• The remains of the ink sheet become the setting number.
Print paper is used up.
• Install new print paper.
Ink sheet and print paper are not a correct set.
• Use a correct set of ink sheet and print paper.
Paper jamming occurs.
• Refer to "Overcoming paper jams".
IC chip error
The IC chip in ink sheet is not a specified one.
• Set the specified IC chip.
Ink sheet distinction error
IC chip and the ink sheet are not a correct set.
• Set the specified ink sheet.
Ink sheet mark error
Ink sheet is not installed correctly.
• Re-Install the ink sheet correctly. When the printing process
is interrupted, press FEED & CUT button after confirming
the indicator above ON LINE button is off.
