Problem
When the foot pedal is pressed,
the vehicle won't run without
a push
Vehicle constantly blows fuses
Loud clacking or grinding
noise from a motor-gearbox
Charger gets warm during use
Batteries make a sizzling or
gurgling noise when charging

Helpful Hint: For faster service when calling Consumer Affairs, completely charge the batteries before calling and have the
following available by the phone:
• vehicle,
• vehicle model number (see sticker in battery compartment),
• vehicle production run number (see sticker in battery compartment),
• Phillips screwdriver, slotted screwdriver and needle-nose pliers with plastic or rubber handles,
• an extra Power Wheels

Possible Cause
Loose wire or connector
"Dead Spot" on motor
Wrong type of fuse used
Child is switching speeds
or between forward and reverse
without stopping.
Broken gears
It is normal for some chargers to get
warm during use and is not reason
for concern.
It is normal for some batteries to
make noise and swell slightly while
charging and is not reason for
concern.
30 amp fuse is helpful.

Check all wires around the motors and all connectors
to make sure they are tight.
Contact your local Power Wheels
center for diagnosis and repair.
Your vehicle requires Power Wheels
fuses, one in each battery. Make sure the Power Wheels
30 amp fuses are properly installed in the batteries.
For best performance, do not use substitute parts.
Teach your child to stop the vehicle before switching
between speeds or switching direction.
Contact your local Power Wheels
center for diagnosis and repair.

If your charger does not get warm during
use, it does not mean that it is not working properly.
No action required.
If your batteries do not make noise or swell slightly
during charging, it does not mean that they are
not accepting the charge.
