Parallelism

You can back up more than one SQL Server database at a time or back up a single
database using multiple streams.
Parallelism types used with SQL Server are:
• Database parallelism
More than one database is backed up if the number of available devices allows
to perform backups in parallel.
The allocation of streams to available devices is done automatically.
• Number of concurrent streams
