Modifying backup specifications

To modify your backup specification, click its name in the Scoping Pane of the Backup
context, then click the appropriate tab, and apply the changes.

Scheduling backup specifications

You can run unattended backups at specific times or periodically. For details on
scheduling, see the online Help index: "scheduled backups".

Scheduling example

To perform Incr1 backups of selected Exchange items at 14:45, 18:00, and 20:00
on Sundays:
1. In the Schedule page, select the starting date in the calendar and click Add to
open the Schedule Backup dialog box.
2. Under Recurring, select Weekly. Under Time options, select 14:45. Under
Recurring Options, select Sun. Under Session Options, select the Incr1 backup
type. See

Description
Specify a command to be run by mbx_bar.exe on the Exchange
Server system before the backup (pre-exec) or after it
(post-exec). Do not use double quotes.
Type only the name of the command and ensure that the command
resides in the Data_Protector_home\bin directory on the
Exchange Server system.
