HDMI® CEC connection
HDMI®CEC connection
You can control the basic functions of connected audio/video
devices using the TV's remote control if you connect a
HDMI® CEC compatible audio receiver or playback device. For an
explanation of setup and operations, see "HDMI® CEC playback
device (DVD player, etc.) control" on page 108. To connect an
HDMI ® device, you will need one HDMI <'_ c able (type A connector)
per HDMI <'_ device.

To connect an Audio Receiver and Playback Devices, you will need
HDMI ®cables.
NOTE
o',. If several devices areconnected, HDMIO CECfeature maynot
operate properly.
¢ Forproperoperation, i t is recommended thatyouusean HDMI ®
cablewith theHDMI ® Logo(H_m_').
Before controlling the device(s):
o**o After completing the above connections, configure the
HDMI® CEC Setup menu with the desired settings, see
"HDMI® CEC input source selection" on page 110.
o**oThe connected devices must also be set. For details, see the
operation manual for each device.
o**oThe HDMI® CEC feature uses the CEC technology as
regulated by the HDMI ® standard.
