Load a cassette with the safety tab in
place.
Select the channel to record.
Press SP/SLP to select the recording
tape speed (SP or SLP). See the next
page for details,

The tape speed is automatically
set to
SP if you don't press the button.
Press REC to start recording,
You can change the tape speed even
while recording.

To prevent accidental erasure
We recommend
that you remove the safety tab from a tape you don't
want to loose. (See page 23.)
Note
When recording stereo or SAP programs,
you
may need to set the MTS mode. See page 22
• for details.
Changing
the recorded
channel
to another
Press PAUSE/STILL
on the Remote
Control.
Select the other channel you want to
record,
Press PAUSE/STILL
again to resume
recording.
