Notes
• The remaining time displayed is only
approximate.
• While recording, the remaining time is
calculated based upon the recording speed
selected with the SP/SLP button, SP or SLP.
• During playback, the remaining time is
calculated based upon the speed the tape
was recorded in (SP, LP, SLP).
• The tape counter does not operate over
non-recorded portions of the tape.
• An error may occur with the counter
display when the tape length exceeds 120
minutes.
Linear time counter function
With the linear time counter, the VCR can display the elapsed time of
a played tape to the second.
To display the counter
Load a cassette and press ClREMAIN.

Remain time display function
This function displays the remaining time on a tape.
Press C/REMAIN while the counter is displayed.
Note
If the remaining time shows "-H--M",
play the tape once.

To reset the counter to OHOOMOOS
Press C.RESET.
The counter is reset to zero and the
previous counter reading is deleted from
the memory.
If you start recording or playback with the
counter reset to zero, you can easily
locate the recording/playback start point
later by searching for the counter zero
point.

To erase the counter display
Press C/REMAIN.
Note
The counter is automatically reset to 0H00M00S in the following
situations.
• When the tape is stopped for more than 4 seconds.
• When the cassette is ejected.
• When the TVNCR is turned off.
