This section explains
how to adjust the speaker
output
levels by using the test tone generator.
When this
adjustment
is made, the output level heard at the listening
position
will be the same from each speaker.
This is
important
for the best performance
of the digital sound
field processor,
and various
decoders
(Dolby Digital,
Dolby
Pro Logic, Dolby
Pro Logic II, DTS, DTS ES, and
DTS Neo: 6).
• Since this unit cannot enter the test mode while headphones are
connected to this unit, be sure to unplug the headphones from
the PHONES jack when using the test tone.
Use the test tone to balance
the output
levels of the 6
speakers
required
for a surround
sound system.
The
adjustment
of each speaker
output level should be made at
your listening
position
with the remote
control.
After
completing
the adjustments,
use VOL +/- at your
listening
position
to check if the adjustments
are
satisfactory.
