This unit is equipped with 6 additional input jacks
(FRONT L/R, CENTER, SURROUND L/R and
SUBWOOFER) for discrete nmlti-channel input from a
nmlti-format player, external decoder or sound processor.
Connect the output jacks on your multi-format player or
external decoder to the MULTI CH INPUT jacks. Be sure
to match the left and right output jacks to the left and right
input jacks t_r the front and surround channels.

Do not connect this unit or other components to
the AC power supply until all connections
between components are complete.
• When you select the component connected to the MULTI CH
INPUT jacks as the input source (see page 37), this unit
automatically turns ufl the digital sound field processor, and
you cannot select sound field programs.
• This unit does not redirect signals input at the MULTI CH
INPUT.jacks to accommudate for missing speakers. Wu
recommend that you connect at least a 5. l-channel speaker
system belbre using this feature.
• When headphones are used, signals are output only l?om the
fi'ont left and right channels.
Use the VIDEO AUX jacks on the front panel to connect a
game console, a video camera or a portable audio player to
this unit.

Be sure to turn off the volume of this unit and
other components before making connections.
• The audio signals input at tile PORTABLE mini jack take
priority uver the unes input at tile AUDIO L/R jacks.
• The :,udiu signals input at tile DOCK terminal takes priority
over the ones input at the VIDEO AUX jacks.
