Follow your progress with the displays.
HOW TO USE A HEART RATE PROGRAM
See step 5 on page 11.
Measure your heart rate if desired.
See step 6 on page 12.
Turn on the fan if desired.
See step 7 on page 13.
When you are finished
exercising,
remove the
key from the console.
When the program ends, make sure that the in-
cline of the treadmill
is at the lowest setting.
Next, remove the key from the console and put it in
a safe place. Note: If the display remains lit
after the key is removed, the console
is in the
"demo"
mode. See page 22 and turn off the
demo mode.
When you are finished
using the treadmill,
switch the reseUoff circuit
breaker to the "off"
position and unplug the power cord.
Heart rate program 1 wii[ automatically adjust the speed
and incline of the treadmill to keep your heart rate near a
target heart rate that you select. Heart rate program 2
wi[[ keep your heart rate within a preset range.

If you are taking medication

to find whether the

Follow the steps below to use a heart rate program,
Put on the optional
chest pulse sensor.
You must wear the optional
chest pulse sensor
(see page 22) to use a heart rate program.
Insert the key into the console.
See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page
11.
Select a heart rate program.
To select a heart
rate program,
press the
Program button
repeatedly until
one of the two
Heart Rate Control indicators lights.

resents your
heartbeat will ap-
pear in the ma-
trix.
If heart rate pro-
gram 2 is se-

of the target heart
