• IGNITION NOISE:
Blackspotsor horizontal s treaksmay appear, picturemayflutter or drift.Usuallycaused
byinterferencefrom automobileignitionsystems,neon lamps,electricaldrillsand other
electricalappliances.
• GHOSTS:
Ghostsare causedbythetelevisionsignalfollowing twopaths.One isthedirectpath and
the other is reflected from tall buildings,hills or some other objects. Changing the
direction orposition oftheantennamayimprovereception. G hostingmayalsobecaused
by defectsin the antennasystemsuch as unshieldedleads or connectingseveralsets
to the same antenna withoutusingmultipleantennacouplers.
• SNOW:
Ifyourreceiveris locatedin thefringe area ofa televisionstationwhere thesignalisweak,
your picture may be marred by the appearance of small dots. When the signal is
extremelyweak, itmay be necessaryto installa specialantennato improvethe picture.
• RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE:
The interference producesmoving ripplesor diagonal streaks, and in some cases,
causes loss of contrastin the picture.
