Your HITACHI TV has an AI (Artificial Intelligence) function which will automatically adjust
picture settings to produce the highest quality picture possible.
When AI is magenta, use the cursor <1 Jl_ to tum the AI "ON" or "OFF', Your choice will be
in blue.

AI (ARTIRCIAL INTELLIGENCE)
When the AI functionis on, the TV internalcomputerwillperformthe following:
1. Automaticallymonitorand adjust contrastdependingon room lighting(sensoris located on the front panel), to
producea more natural picture.
2. Automaticallymonitorand adjust colorlevels and maintainnaturalflesh tones.
3. Automatically compensatefor weak or strongTV signalsto producea clear picture.(The SHARPNESS function is
automaticallyadjusted.)
Turn the AI function offto control otherPREFERENCE SETTINGS.
AUTOCOLOR
The AUTOCOLOR functionautomaticallymonitorsand adjuststhe colorto maintainconstantcolor levelseven after a
programor channelchanges. It also maintainsnatural fleshtones whilepreservingfidelity of backgroundcolors.
For best pictureperformance,leave the AUTOCOLOR function "ON'.
NOISE REDUCER
The NOISE REDUCER automaticallyreducesconspicuousnoise in the picturewithoutdegradingpicture
quality.
WHITE CONTROL
Use thisfunction to adjustthe white balance (hue) of the pictureto you own color preference. When shippedfrom the
factory, this is set to "ON'. If you prefera reddishscreen,set to "OFF".
