USING THE REMOTE TO LEARN ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
NOTE:
1. To operateyourTV, be sureto pointthe Genius Remoteat the remote sensoronthe television.To operateother
electronicequipmentlike a VCR, point the remote at the sensoron the device.
2. Refer to the instructionmanualof the VCR for operationon the buttonsexclusively for the VCR.
3, Be sure to keep the originalremote transmittereven after storingits codes in the Genius Remote Control.
4. If the GeniusRemote is leftwith itsbatteriesremoved,the learned codesin itsmemoryare erased and willhave
to be reprogrammedintothe memory.
5. The Genius Remote Controlmay not be able to learncertain specialremote codes.

The Genius Remote Controlis workingwhen the LEARN indicatorlightsup when a buttonis pressed.
When you press a buttonand the learn indicatorwillnot light up or if the operationis extremelyslow,this is an
indicationthat the batteriesshouldbe replaced.
Even if the batteriesseem dead, do not removethem untilyou have replacementbatteriesreadyto put in. The
codes storedin memorywill be erased in a few minuteswithoutpower. When replacingbatteries,prepare the
new ones first.
