Installation Instructions
[] INSTALL LIGHT BULB
NOTE: A light bulb is not shiI)ped with tile hood.
Obtain one locall> Purchase and install an ordinary
screw-base
light bulb,
not more than 60 watts.
[] FOLLOW ELECTRICAL CODE
Complete tile electrical wiring arrording to
National Electrical Code and local codes.
NOTE: This hood illtlst be permanently grotmded.
Connect house
wiring (120 VA(:)
to hood
wiring.
[] REPLACE FILTER
Make sure tim blade turns ti'eelv and replace tile
filter. NOTE: On model,IV347, install the metal
grease filter if ducted
or tile
charcoal filter if
recirctdated.
Metal greasefilter or charcoal f ilter
Tile installation is complete. Turn on power at
serxice panel, and test for proper operation.
[] CONNECT WIRING
Connect house black to hood black wire, house
white to hood white wire and house ground under
green ground screw. Securely tighten tile strain
relief clamp onto tile house wiring.

TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLIST
If tile hood seems to be operating at high speed when
tile control is not set on high, or if ventilation seems
inadequate, check tile tollowing:
Knockouts not removed from hood.
Damper blade not opening.
Reduced airflow because tile duct is too small or
tile duct length is too long.
F_I The duct is blocked.
Undersized or restdctixe wall or roof cap.
If the hood seeIllS to II/ake excessixe noise:
Fan mav be hitting tile filter. Tm'n off tile tim and
remove tile filter. Bend tile filter down slightly in tile
center (into a dome shape) to allow tim clearance,
Reinstall and
a(!iust
as needed.
Tile tim does not work but tile lights do:
Switch power off at the service panel and lock the
service disconnecting means to prevent power fl'om
being switched on accidentally, When the service
disconnecting means cannot be locked, securely
tasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag,
to tile service panel.
Check the wiring cmmections. See the CONNECT
WIRING section in these Installation Instructions.
