Inspect and replace damaged muffler and/or deflector as it
could create a fire hazard and/or damage.

10. Lubricate
Pivot Points
Place several drops of SA E 30 oil at points where parts move
against each other, especially:
a
Front axle pivot
b
Hood hinges
c
Foot pedal shaft (both ends)
d
Lift shaft (both ends)

11. Starting
your Tractor With a Weak Battery
If your battery is too weak to start the engine, it should be
recharged.
If "jumper cables" are used for emergency start-
ing, follow this procedure:

Connect each end of the RED cable to the POSI-
TIVE (+) terminals of each battery (taking care not
to short against chassis), (Fig. 17)

Connect one end of the BLACK cable to the
NEGATIVE (-) terminals of fully charged battery,

the other end of the cable to the L H
side panel
