WARNING: To avoid injury from unexpected start-
ing or electrical shock, do not plug the power cord
into a power source outlet during unpacking and
assembly.
This
cord
must
remain
unplugged
whenever you are working on the saw.
Your model of Miter Saw is shipped complete in one box.
WARNING:
Although
compact, this saw is heavy.
To avoid back injury, get help whenever you have
to lift the saw.
1. Before removing
the saw from the shipping

tighten the carriage lock knob to guard against sudden
movement.
2. Remove the miter saw from the carton by lifting with
the handholds located at the base of the saw.
WARNING:
if any part is missing or damaged, do
not plug the saw in until the missing or damaged
part is correctly replaced. To avoid electric shock,
use only identical replacement
parts when servic-
ing double insulated tools.
3_ Place the saw on a secure, stationary work surface
and look the saw over carefully.

ble the saw, Contact your Sears Service Center to get
the missing part. Sometimes small parts can get lost in
packaging material. Do not throw away any packaging
