When cutting long workpieces, invert the AUXILIARY
FENCE/WORK
SUPPORT, and position it on top of the
guide bars to support the workpiece as near to the end as
possible. If this does not adequatply support the workpiece,
you can make a simple support by clamping a piece of
plywood to a sawhorse.
Use the Hold-Down Clamp (Optional Accessory) on the
miter gauge for greater accuracy.

REPETITIVE
CUTTING
REPETITIVE
CUTTING
is known as cutting a quantity of
pieces the same length without having to mark each piece.
1. Use the Stop Rods (optional accessory) only for cutting
duplicate pieces6 in. long and longer.
2.
DO NOT FEED workpiece with RIGHT hand, merely
guide it, making sure that it does not bind or pinch the
sawblade.
When making repetitive cuts from a long workpiece, make
sure it is adequately supported.
Use the Hold-Down Clamp (Optional Accessory) on the
miter gauge for greater accuracy.
STOP
RODS
1. NEVER
USE THE RIP FENCE AS A LENGTH STOP
BECAUSE
THE
CUTOFF
PIECE
COULD
BIND
BETWEEN THE FENCE AND THE BLADE CAUSING
A KICKBACK.
2. When making repetitive cuts shorter than 6 in., clamp a
block of wood 2 in. long to the table to act as a length
stop. Do not clamp directly to the bottom edge of the
table because the "swivel"
of the clamps will not grip
properly.
Place a small block of wood between the
bottom edge of the table and the "C" clamps.
CAUTION:
When clamping the block, make sure that
the end of the block is well in front of the sawblade. Be
sure it is damped securely.
3. Slide the workpiece along the miter gauge until it
touches the block . . . hold it securely or clamp it with
the Hold-Down Clamp (Optional Accessory).
4. Make the cut ...
pull the workpiece back ... push the
cut off piece off the table with a long push stick...
DO
NOT ATTEMPT
TO PICK IT UP AS THIS COULD
ENDANGER YOUR HANDS.
