XIV. USER MAINTENANCE

A. RECOMMENDED THERMAL RECORDING PAPER
The following Sharp-brand thermal paper is available for the FO-220. It is recom-
mended to assure long life of the machine and to obtain the best possible
reproduction quality.
NOTES:
Use only the specified type of recording paper.
l
Paper is available from your authorized Sharp Facsimile Dealer.
l
Using non-Sharp brand paper may result in damage to the machine, poor
l
copy quality and excessive residue build-up on the thermal recording head.
B. CAUTIONS ON STORING PAPER
Pay attention to the follo\r\ling points when storing the recording paper.
Do not keep the recording paper in a place subject to high humidity or tem-
perature since in such a condition the paper becomes more susceptible to
coloring.
Do not keep the recording paper in a place subject to direct sunlight (such
as near a window), as this will cause the recording paper to discolor.
The recording paper may become discolored in the following cases.
Rubber-derived glue, Cemedine, thinner bond, and stick glue are used.
l
Contact with a freshly duplicated Diazo (blueprint) copy.
l
Contact with a rubber eraser or adhesive tape.
l
The paper is scratched, causing friction heat.
l
Do not unpack the recording paper until you are ready to use it.
