BROADCAST TRANSMISSION

This feature is used to send a fax to multiple destinations in a single operation. The original to be
transmitted is scanned into memory and then successively transmitted to the selected destinations.
This feature is convenient for such purposes as distributing a report to company branches.
G
Up to 200 destinations can be selected.
G
Broadcast transmission is not possible in direct transmission mode. Broadcast transmission can only
be performed in memory transmission mode. Note that the Quick On-Line function will not operate.
(See page 31)
G
When transmission to all destinations has been completed, the document is automatically cleared
from memory.

Notes
G
If you frequently use broadcasting to send faxes to the same group of destinations, it is
convenient to program those destinations into a group key. (See page 50) A group key is a
rapid key in which multiple rapid dial numbers, Speed Dial numbers, and full fax numbers are
stored. These numbers are automatically dialed by simply pressing the group key once.
G
When a group key is used for transmission, the fax is sent to each of the destinations stored in
the group key. For example, if five destinations are programmed in a group key and the key is
touched for a broadcast transmission, the broadcast transmission will have five destinations.
