TRANSFER FUNCTION

When printing is not possible because the machine is out of paper or toner, or for another reason, you
can transfer a fax that has been received to memory (See page 46) to another fax machine.
Your machine
Set with key operator
program.

The DATA light blinks when a fax is received to memory.
G
A fax received by confidential reception or F-code confidential reception cannot be transferred.
G
A fax received by means of a relay request or F-code relay request operation can be transferred after
broadcasting.

The transfer function must be turned on and the transfer fax number must be stored in order to
transfer a fax. (See page 160)

When multiple faxes have been received to memory, the connection is broken after transfer of each
fax and then reestablished to transfer the next fax.

Using the Transfer Function

Turn the transfer function on and store a transfer fax number using the key operator program (See
pages 159, 160), and then perform the following procedure to transfer a fax.

In Fax mode, press the SPECIAL FUNCTION key.

To cancel the transfer, select "NO TRANSFER" in step 3 and then press the OK key.

After a fax is transferred, it is cleared from memory.
G
If a transmission job has already been stored (See page 99) when you initiate a transfer, the
transfer will take place after the stored job is completed.

If a transfer was not successful because the line is busy and recalling was also not successful,
the fax will be held in memory in your machine until printing is possible.
