The Interface Boards
5. For all interface boards except the #8143 New serial interface
board, set the DIP switches on the interface board according to
the manual accompanying your interface board. (If you have the
#8143 board, see the description below.)
6. Reattach the upper case in the reverse order of the installation.

New serial interface board
If you are using an optional interface, you may need to match the
communications protocol of the printer and the computer so they
can communicate properly. Use the information in your optional
interface manual or the computer manual to match the computer
with the interface.
For the #8143 optional interface board, use the DIP switch settings
shown below. These DIP switches are on the interface board, not
on the printer.
