Moisture condensation
If your camcorder is bruught directly from a
cold place to a warm place, moisture may
condense inside your camcorder, on the
surface of the tape, or un the lens. In this
state, the tape may stick to the head drum
and be damaged or your camcorder may not
operate correctly. If there is moisture inside
your camcorder,

None uf the functions except cassette
ejectiou will work. Eject the cassette, turn
off yuur camcorder, and leave it for about
one hour with the cassette lid open. Yuur
camcorder can be used again when both of
the lk_llowiug conditions are met:
• Tile warning message does not appear wllmltile
power is turned on.
• Neither [] or _ flash when a cassette is insm'ted
and vide()operation bumms air touched.
If muisture starts to condense, yuur
camcorder

caullot detect
condensation. If this happens, the cassette is
sometimes nut ejected l\w 10 secunds alter
the cassette lid is opened. This is not a
malfunctiuu.

Muisture may condense when you bring
your cmncurder frum a cold place into a

your camcorder in a humid place as shown
below.

N How to avoid moisture condensation
When you bring your camcorder l?'om a
culd place into a warm place, put your
camcorder in a plastic bag and seal it
tightly. Remove the bag when the air
temperature inside the plastic bag has
reached the surrounding temperature (after
about one hour).
