M.I.X. (Random Play)

Perform the following operation within 5 seconds after
the F button has been pressed and the FUNC indicator
has lit.

Press the M.I.X. button in the play or pause mode.
The files on the disc will be played back in a random
sequence. After all files on the disc have been played
back, play will shift to the next disc.
To cancel M.I.X. play, press the M.I.X. button to turn off
the M.I.X.
NOTE
If you set FOLDER in the "Setting the Range of MP3 File
Selection" section on this page, and select M.I.X., the files in a
folder will be played back in a random sequence. However, after
all the tracks in a folder have been played back, play does not
shift to the next folder.

Scanning Programmes

Perform the following operation within 5 seconds after
the F button has been pressed and the FUNC indicator
has lit.

Press the SCAN button to activate the Scan mode.
The first 10 seconds of each file will be played back in
succession.
To stop scanning, press the SCAN button to deactivate
the Scan mode.
NOTE
If you set FOLDER in the "Setting the Range of MP3 File
Selection" section on this page, the first 10 seconds of each file
in a folder will be played back.

Playing MP3 Data

You can set the range of MP3 file selection to "entire
disc contents" or "folder contents only."
Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 3
seconds.
Press the f UP or g DN button to select DISC/
FOLDER (file selection range).
Press the BAND button to toggle the mode between
DISC ALL and FOLDER.
• DISC ALL : plays all the files on one disc
• FOLDER : plays files in the selected folder only.
NOTES
• The initial setting at the factory is DISC ALL.
• The range of MP3 file selection applies to REPEAT, M.I.X.
and SCAN modes only.
In normal mode, the unit plays all files on a disc even when
you set the range of MP3 selection to "folder contents only."
Press the SETUP button to set the selected mode.
You can select either playback only of CD data, or
playback of formatted CD data and MP3 files.
When a disc is contains CD or the MP3 file data,
playback starts from the CD data portion of the disc.
Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 3
seconds.
Press the f UP or g DN button to select "CD-
DA."
Press the BAND button to toggle the mode between
CD-DA and CD/MP3.
• CD-DA: Only CD data can be played back.
• CD/MP3: Both CD data and MP3 file tracks can be
played back.
Press the SETUP button to return to normal mode.
