Setting the over‐speed‐limit alert
PASSPORT iQ is equipped with posted speed limit data for most major highways and a number of side
roads. The posted speed limit for your current location appears in the speed limit icon on the left side of
the Map View and Detector View screens.
PASSPORT iQ can also provide voice alerts that you are traveling over the posted speed limit for your
current location. You can customize this feature to provide voice alerts at 5 mph, 10 mph, or 15 mph
over the posted speed limit, or you can turn it off. To set or deactivate the over‐speed‐limit alert, touch
Over Speed... on the Settings screen.
Touch the down arrow to display more options. Touch an option to select it. Touch Back or Menu at the
bottom of the screen to exit and save your changes.
Restoring all factory settings
From the Settings screen, touch Restore to return all settings to the original factory settings. You are
prompted to confirm your selection. Touch Yes to restore the factory settings.
