Single-Line Telephones

Programming Special Characters
This appendix provides the special characters used in dialing sequences for
numbers dialed automatically, such as on Auto Dial buttons. The characters
allowed depend on the type of telephone.
Single-Line Telephones
Some dialing sequences need special characters. For example, the user presses
and releases either the Recall or Flash button or the switchhook to insert a Pause
character in a dialing sequence after a dial-out code to allow the system to seize
an outside line/trunk before dialing the number.
