Procedure
Check that the PS/2 mouse cable's 6-pin
connector is firmly connected to the
mouse/keyboard port.
You may have connected the mouse after
turning the computer on. Turn off the computer,
make sure the mouse is firmly connected and
turn the computer back on.
Is your software configured to recognise the
mouse? Check the software documentation.
Procedure
Check for a firm connection between the
computer's serial port and the cable's 9-pin
connector.

Procedure
The system might be busy. If the pointer is
shaped as an hourglass, wait for it to resume its
normal shape and try again to move it.
Make sure the mouse is properly connected to
