Opening a .OMP File
Downloading requires a .OMP file. You can make a new .OMP file or read an existing .OMP
file.
£The .OMP file consists of the listed .OPL files. So to make a .OMP file, first create various types of .OPL files
in the waveform editing window, then save them on the hard disk beforehand.
1. Choose [Open] from the [File] menu. The File Open dialog box appears.
2. Select the desired .OMP file. Click [OK]. A Mapping window appears (an example is shown
below).
When creating a new .OMP file, choose [New .OMP] from the [File] menu. The new Mapping
window without any .OPL files appears.

Inst. (Instrument/Patch):

Patch numbers from 1 to 128. Each patch number from 1 to 128 corresponds to a program
change number from 0 to 127.
OPL File name:

Displays the full pathname, which consists of the assigned .OPL filename and directories.
When no .OPL file is assigned, <None> is displayed.
Audition:

While clicking and holding down this button, plays the currently assigned .OPL file. Produces
sound in pitch C3 in accordance with the settings of with [Parameters] in the [MIDI] menu.
Size:

Displays the size (in Bytes) of the currently assigned .OPL file. The maximum size of a file
that can be downloaded is 64KB for one waveform. (With the settings monaural sampling,
8 bits and 11.025kHz, you can sample about 6 seconds.)
Scrollbar:

Enables scrolling through the patch numbers to 128. The window displays 6 patches at
one time.
Download:

Downloads the .OPL file assigned in the list to RAM.
Update:

After original data is downloaded, you may want to produce new data by editing the file in
the waveform editing window without closing this Mapping window and download it. The
[Update] button downloads the new data.
Free RAM:

Displays the current amount (in Bytes) of free RAM. The total amount of RAM is 128KB
(1KB=1024Bytes).
