Message counter displays

The message counter usually displays the total
number of memos and incoming messages. See
the list below for explanations of other displays in
this counter.

The clock needs to be set (page 36).
Total number of messages and memos,
or message number currently playing.
Total number of messages and memos.
The number flashes when there are new
(un-reviewed) messages.
After a power failure, the number in the
message counter will flash to indicate the
clock needs to be set.
Current remote access code while setting
(page 38).
Elapsed time while recording a memo
(page 40) or announcement up to 90
seconds (page 37).
Memo recording has reached its maxi-
mum recording time.
Memory is full. Messages must be
deleted before new messages can be
recorded.
System is answering a call, being
accessed remotely, or the clock is being
set.
System is being setup, initialized or mes-
sages are being deleted.
Displayed for two seconds when any
answering system setting is turned on or
off.
Current number of rings while setting
(page 38).
Displayed for two seconds while tel-
ephone base speaker volume is being
adjusted.
Displayed for two seconds while the
telephone base ringer volume is being
adjusted.
