Starting the Firmware Updater CAUTION You must have administrator privileges in order to update the firmware. CAUTION Before starting the firmware updater, make sure that the printer is correctly connected with a USB cable. CAUTION Before starting the firmware updater, confirm that the scanner driver (TWAIN driver) is installed with a USB connection. - Page 6 If the User Account Control window appears when installing on Windows Vista, click [Allow] button or [Continue] button. The following procedure describes how to update the firmware for magicolor 1690MF. Follow the same procedure to update the firmware for magicolor 1680MF, magicolor 4690MF and magicolor 4695MF.
