When ordering a replacement component for out-of-warranty service, you
may be charged a repair cost. See your HP Authorized Dealer or local
HP Sales and Service Office representative.
Or, you can call HP at (800) 227-8164 (USA only). Prepare to supply
shipping and billing addresses and one of the following:
Credit card number with expiration date
For customers having an established account with HP, a purchase
order number.
Customers outside the USA also should call the Customer Care Center
telephone number for their country in appendix A, "Getting Support". Once
out of the warranty period, they may contact their HP Authorized Dealer or
HP Sales and Service Office to obtain information on prices, exchange
component availability, and instructions.

Your Hewlett-Packard Limited Warranty

1.
HP warrants to you, the end-user customer, that HP hardware, accessories, and
supplies will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of
ONE (1) YEAR. If HP receives notice of such defects during the warranty
period, HP will, at its option, either repair or replace product components that
prove to be defective. Replacement components may be either new or equivalent
in performance to new.
a.
Repair or replacement will be performed by HP or the Reseller, at its option,
at your premises or "on site", by the Return-to-HP/Reseller process or by use
of the Customer Replacement Part process.
b.
Replacement components assume the remaining warranty of the components
they replace. When service involves the exchange of a product or a component,
all removed components, in their entirety, become the property of HP and
must be returned to HP after the replacement has been installed. The
replacement component becomes your property.
c.
You are responsible for restoring any configuration or data.
2.
HP does not warrant that the operation of HP products will be uninterrupted or
error free. If HP is unable, within a reasonable time, to repair or replace the
product to a condition as warranted, you will be entitled to a refund of the purchase
price upon prompt return of the product.
3.
HP products may contain remanufactured parts equivalent to new in performance
or may have been subject to incidental use.
4.
Warranty does not apply to defects resulting from (a) improper or inadequate
maintenance or calibration, (b) software, interfacing, parts, or supplies not
supplied by HP, (c) unauthorized modification or misuse, (d) operation outside of
the published environmental specifications for the product, or (e) improper site
preparation or maintenance.
