Reverting a snapshot

You can take the snapshot of a virtual machine any time. If you keep changing
the configurations of the virtual machines very frequently, you can take the
snapshots of individual configurations and save them.

To create a snapshot

In the Symantec Management Console, on the Home menu, click Virtual
Machine Management.

In the left pane, do one of the following:
Click the virtual machine and on the virtual machine page, under Actions,
click Create Snapshot.
Right-click the virtual machine, and click Create Snapshot.

In the Create Snapshot dialog box, specify the snapshot settings, select the
credentials of the host machine, and click OK.

On the create snapshot task page, under Task Status, specify a schedule for
the task.

Click Save changes.
When you take a snapshot of a virtual machine, it saves its current state. Later,
if you face problems with the configured virtual machine, you can revert to its
previous state. When you revert a snapshot, you loose all the changes that you
do after you take the snapshot.

To revert a snapshot

In the Symantec Management Console, on the Home menu, click Virtual
Machine Management.

In the left pane, click the virtual machine.

On the virtual machine page, under Snapshot Details, click Actions > Revert
Snapshot.
