6. Now let's overdub a second track. Right
click in the dark gray column and select Add
Audio Track. In the Add Audio Track dialog,
set the configuration to Mono and click OK.
Under the Track Inspector select
for track 2's input. Click on the
LEFT
button so that it is red. Click
ENABLE
on the
INPUT MONITORING
RECORD ENABLE
7. Now we will set our monitor levels so we
get a comfortable monitor mix level. On the
front of the Omega locate the
Knob. While playing back the previous record-
ing listen to the input of the microphone. To
make the Microphone louder than the record-
ing, turn the
MONITOR MIX
side. To make the recorded track louder
DIRECT
turn the
MONITOR MIX
side.
PLAYBACK
This does not change the recorded volume, only what you hear while you are
NOTE:
recording. You can also adjust the playback level and pan position of the original track
in your monitor by adjusting the contols for Channel 1 on Cubase's Mixer window.

B. RECORDING A GUITAR INTO THE INSTRUMENT JACK
Now let's record a new basic track starting with a guitar

Omega Studio.
this jack is intended for passive guitar pickups, not line
