Servo Neutrals
First, set up all linkages so that all servos
are as close to mechanical neutral as possible.
Then, use the Subtrim (
make fine adjustments on the servo neutrals.

STRM
– 48 –
Pitch: the pitch angle (CH6) should vary
from -2° to +10° with full stick motion.
Adjust servo arms and ATV values to get this
motion, measured with a pitch meter. If you
need to change it on the ground while the
engine is running, use the convenient
function.
After you've set the pitch, be sure to check
that both aileron and elevator motions do not
cause binding at extreme pitch settings. If
they do, use
to reduce travels. Check for
ATV
binding on full left and right rudder as well.
Set up the carburetor pushrod with trim
centered or above center so that at full throttle
there is no binding, and so the engine idles
smoothly at low throttle. Be sure that trim
may be used to fully close the carburetor, to
shut off the engine without binding.
7. Hovering Pitch
We recommend setting the hovering pitch
to +4.5° by moving the hovering pitch knob
(CH6). If it takes a lot of knob travel, reset
the the knob to center, then adjust your
linkages to get the 4.5°. Then check to see
that pitch travel is still correct at high and low
stick, and correct with ATV as needed.
8. Hovering Throttle
Hovering throttle should adjusted to get
the desired head RPM around hover.
