Installing the Control Panel Assembly

1 Push the control panel gently into the chassis
2 Connect the control panel cable to the control panel board.
3 Using a Phillips screwdriver, replace the screw that secures the control
panel assembly to the chassis.
4 Connect the control panel assembly cable to the system board.
See Figure 3-22.
5 Close the system. See "Closing the System" on page 80.
6 Place the system upright on a flat surface.
7 Replace the front bezel. See "Installing the Front Bezel" on page 76.
8 Reattach any peripherals and connect the system to an electrical outlet.
9 Turn on the system and attached peripherals.

1 Remove the front bezel. See "Removing the Front Bezel" on page 75.
2 Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the
system from the electrical outlet.
3 Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 79.

the hard drives from the system before removing the backplane.

4 Remove all hard drives. See "Hard Drives" on page 84.
