Checking connections and functions

Multimedia interface box (if installed)

Carry out the following steps to check the interface box while stationary:
1. Switch on the ignition.
2. Select the "TV/Video" button in the Start Menu of the navigation system and confirm
by pressing the OK key.
3. Press the OK key once more.
The overview menu of the Multimedia box appears.
4. Check the following functions (see interface-box operating instructions):
• Television reception
• 2. Video input of the interface box
• Rear monitor
• Reversing camera

TV tuner

1. Switch on ignition, engage handbrake if necessary.
2. Select "TV/Video" button in the Start Menu and confirm with the OK button.
3. Press the POWER key of the TV remote control.
The monitor should now display the TV image.
4. When connecting a video/audio source or a reversing camera to the TV tuner:
Press TV>CA>AV key as relevant and check image for chosen input (CA: reversing-
camera / AV: AV input).
5. Release handbrake.

If necessary, prevent vehicle from rolling away.
The TV image must be switched off. The monitor must display the instruction "SCREEN OFF
FOR YOUR SAFETY".
6. Re-engage handbrake.
7. Switch TV tuner back on.
The monitor should once more display the TV image.
When connecting a reversing camera:
8. Engage reverse gear.
The image registered by the reversing camera must appear on the monitor.

at speeds of more than about 3 km/h.
