INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Rear monitor (in systems with MI 5000 interface box)

If a second monitor is connected to the MONITOR 2 socket of the interface box, it can
display the navigation image as well as the TV image or that of another video source.
See the MI 5000 multimedia interface box operating instructions for details on switching
the rear monitor from source to source.

Second Monitor (system without MI 5000 interface box)

A second monitor can be connected to the A/V OUTPUT socket of the TV tuner. The second
monitor then always displays the same image as the first monitor (MM 5000).

Other possible connections

Connection to the car radio for TV sound output

If necessary, the audio sockets of the AV output of the TV tuner, or alternatively the
LINE OUT sockets of the power supply cable of the MI 5000 multimedia interface box,
can be connected to a free input of the car radio (e.g. AUX) to improve TV sound quality.

Video recorder (VCR) / DVD player

To play back videos, a DVD player or alternatively a video recorder can be connected to
the AV input of the TV tuner (A/V INPUT).
Video recordings can also be made by simultaneously connecting the video recorder input
to the AV output of the TV tuner.

Earphones (with additional amplifier)

An amplifier for use with earphones can be connected to the audio output of the TV Tuner
or to the LINE OUT sockets of the power supply cable of the MI 5000 interface box.
1 To prevent other persons from being disturbed by TV sound, the volume can be
turned all the way down on the monitor or during operation of the multimedia
interface box by pressing the "-" key of the navigation remote control.
