Traffic programme
Switch this function on if you want to hear traffic announcements. You will then also
hear traffic announcements while a CD/ MP3 is playing or in mute mode.
Press the SETUP button.
Select "Audio –> Traffic info" and
confirm the selection.
Set the required volume for the traf-
fic announcements.
T symbol will be displayed.
If Traffic info has been activated the
The value set corresponds to the an-
nouncement volume if the unit is in mute mode.
Select "OFF" if you no longer want to hear traffic announcements.
The radio only responds to traffic stations during a search.
If the radio has not been set to a traffic station you will be notified and, if re-
quested, the radio will search for a station transmitting traffic announcements.
Press OK, CLR or a cursor button to interrupt a traffic announcement.
News
Switch the news function on if you want to hear news from stations that provide this
service. You will then also hear news while a CD/ MP3 is playing.
Press the SETUP button.
Select "Audio –> News" and confirm the selection.
Set the required volume for the news.
The value set corresponds to the minimum volume for news.
Select "OFF" to deactivate the news function.
News broadcasts may be interrupted by traffic announcements.
The "News" function is not yet available in all countries.
Traffic announcements and news from other stations – EON
With the RDS function EON (Enhanced Other Networks) you will hear traffic an-
nouncements or news even if the set station does not provide this service but is oper-
ating on a network with other stations.
If you have activated Traffic info, stations with EON will be treated like traffic sta-
tions, i.e. the search will also stop at these stations.
When a traffic announcement is made, the unit switches to a traffic information
station linked to EON. After the announcement, the unit returns to the previous
programme.
