INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Initial operation

1. Ensure that there is no phone in the holder.
2. Reconnect the battery.
3. Restore perfect functioning of the electrical system (clock, trip computer, alarm sys-
tem, airbag, immobiliser, radio coding etc.).

Loading software updates

Before you can use the hands-free unit, the software update supplied must be loaded on
the navigation computer. For an exact description of how to load the software, refer to
the booklet accompanying the software CD.

Check the connections

1. Ensure that there is no phone in the holder.
2. Switch on the ignition (engine start not necessary).

Before inserting a mobile phone, remove the protective cap for the antenna connection
on the telephone.
The navigation system starts.
3. In the "Main menu" select the option "Phone" (see navigation system operating
instructions).
"Phone out" should then be displayed on the screen.
4. Insert a suitable mobile phone into the holder and switch on if necessary.
For a short time, the message "Phone not ready" will be displayed, then the start screen
should appear.
1 If the message "Phone not ready" is displayed, the system will return automatically to
navigation after a short time.

Adapting the system

Depending on the software version of the navigation system, some adaptations must be
performed. Check the following points:
• If the phone display is upside-down, is the navigation display the right way up?
• Are the display languages of the navigation and phone menus different?
If yes, proceed as follows:
Turn display by 180°
1. In the 'Start screen' press the MENU button.
2. Select the "Settings" option in the "Main menu" that appears.
3. In the following display, select the option "Invert display".
Set the language for the display texts.
1. In the "Settings" menu, select the "Display language" option. Select the required lan-
guage in the following display.
2. To return to the 'Start screen', press the MENU button.
