Make electrical connections, Fig. 5
Route all cables with care. For connection diagram, see illustration on page 3.

Only connect electrical signals to suitable connecting points in the vehicle.
Ensure that the plug attachments engage.
1. Connect the power supply cable of the hands-free unit's control unit as shown in the
table below.

* Only when a front vehicle loudspeaker is used instead a separate loudspeaker (accessories). Do not
connect the loudspeaker for output of navigation messages here.
1 Do not cut off non-assigned cables. Instead, insulate them, wind together and fix
them to one side. They may be necessary for retrofitting additional functions.
2. Insert the plug of the power supply cable into the socket labelled " " on the front of
the control unit.
3. When using a separate loudspeaker (accessories): Insert the loudspeaker jack into the
loudspeaker socket on the front of the control unit.
4. Insert the microphone jack into the correspondingly labelled socket on the front of
the control unit.
5. Insert the 15-pin plug of the telephone holder into the corresponding socket on the
control unit. Secure the plug connection with the side screws.
6. Connect the GSM antenna (not included) to the antenna connection of the phone
holder.
7. Insert the 10-pin plug of the Y-cable into the corresponding socket on the rear of the
control unit.
8. If the navigation system is already installed: If necessary, pull the plug of the remote
control holder out of the connector in the signal cable of the navigation system.
9. Insert the plug of the remote control holder into the corresponding socket of the
Y-cable.
10. If the navigation system is already installed: Pull the plug of the monitor cable out of
the socket C' of the navigation computer.
11. Insert the plug of the monitor cable into the corresponding socket of the Y-cable.
12. Insert the C1 plug of the cable for the navigation connection (MA 2000) into the
socket C' on the navigation computer, and insert the 6-pin plug of the cable into the
corresponding socket of the control unit for the hands-free unit.
