Display language

The language for the screen displays and for the system voice messages can be selected in
the "Settings" menu; see "System Settings" on Page 29. Possible selections include:
• English
• German
• Dutch
• Spanish
• French
• Italian

Ringing tone / volume

The hands-free unit adopts the ringing tone of the mobile phone. The ringing tone and
volume can therefore be set on the mobile phone.

Operation

The functions of the hands-free unit are operated via special menus that are only dis-
played when the mobile phone is functional. The functions and inputs are controlled via
the remote control's buttons which have the following functions here:
ALT-R Quit: quit current function;
Return to the start screen after pressing once or more
Short press: Voice dialling (selection by voice entry);
Long press (>1 second): Record memo / patch inpartner during call
Only in conjunction with MS 3100/PC 4000: corresponds to the REP button
(see Operating Instructions for MS 3100 system)
OK Activate selected menu item /
activation of the button highlighted with the cursor in the menus;
end call or voice recording
4, 6, 8, 2 Control of the cursor / selection of menu points;
special features in the start screen:
8 : Call up the list of outgoing call numbers
2 : Call up the list of phone entries
+, - Adjust volume during call or when listening to memos;
for text entries, delete character (-) or enter a space (+);
adjust volume of voice messages (only after selecting the option "Prompt vol-
ume" in the "Settings" menu)
MENU Call up Start display (not during a call) / in Start display: Call up main menu
REC Record memo / patch in partner during call; with remote operation MS 3100:
Press REP button for longer than 1 second.
