If necessary:
Make sure the ignition key is set
to «OFF».
Disconnect first the negative
lead (-) and then the positive
one (red) (+).
Brush with a metal bristle brush
to remove all signs of corrosion.
Connect again first the positive
lead (red) (+) and then the neg-

ative one (-).
Cover the leads and terminals
with special grease or petroleum
jelly.
Refit the battery.
BATTERY REMOVAL
ACCESS TO THE BATTERY
Make sure the ignition switch is
set to «OFF».
Lift the saddle.
Remove the battery cover «1».
CAUTION
THE BATTERY IS CONNECTED TO
THE ELECTRIC WIRES. DO NOT
FORCE THE WIRES WHEN REMOV-
ING THE BATTERY.

Indien nodig:
Controleer of de ontstekings-
schakelaar zich in positie
«OFF» bevindt.
Maak eerst de negatieve kabel
(-) en daarna de positieve (rood)
(+) los.
Borstelt men met een metalen
borstel, om elk roestspoor te eli-
mineren.
Herverbindt eerst de positieve
kabel (rood) (+) en daarna de
negatieve kabel (-).
Bedek de terminals en de klem-
men met speciaal vet of vaseli-
ne.
Herplaats de accu.

HET BEREIKEN VAN DE ACCU
Controleer of de ontstekings-
schakelaar zich in positie
«OFF» bevindt.
Hef het zadel op.
Verwijder het accudeksel «1».

ELEKTRISCHE KABELS. FORCEER
