DISASSEMBLY
CAUTION
The disassembly and reassembly of the
front wheel may be difficult for unskilled
operators.
If necessary, contact an
Dealer.
If you want to perform these operations
personally, keep to the following in-
structions.
Carefully read p. 43 (MAINTENANCE).
While disassembling and reassembling
the wheel, be careful not to damage the
brake pipes, the discs and the pads.

Position the vehicle on the centre stand
on firm and level ground.
NOTE
Prepare a support with base
measuring 200 x 200 mm, whose height
should be 270 mm for the

Place the support under the vehicle and
a spongy cloth between them, so that the

front wheel can move freely and the ve-
hicle cannot fall down.
Make sure that the vehicle is stable.
N
Put a support (1) under the tyre, in such
a way as to keep the wheel in its position
after loosening it.
N
Loosen the screw (2) of the wheel pin
clamp.
N
Unscrew the wheel pin (3) completely.
Wheel pin driving torque:
50 Nm (5 kgm).
and 230 mm
CAUTION
N
Support the front wheel and manually
withdraw the wheel pin (3).
N
Take the washer (4).
CAUTION
Never pull the front brake lever after re-
moving the wheel, otherwise the caliper
pistons may go out of their seats, thus
causing the outflow of the brake fluid.
In this case consult your
Dealer, who will carry out the proper
maintenance operation.
N
Make the front wheel advance until you
can withdraw the disc from the brake cal-
iper (5).
N
Without removing the brake caliper,
rotate the left rod (6) clockwise, in such a
way as to create the space necessary to
withdraw the wheel.
N
Withdraw the front wheel completely.
N
Disconnect the odometer control (7).
