Sync PPP Calls
The first session defined in the default file is for a Sync PPP call using
the number 123-555-1212. When a client dials in using the number,
channel is set to PPP mode and the bearer capability is set to data.
To edit the file:
1. Enter the actual number to be used for Sync PPP calls.
2. Copy and edit the block for additional sync PPP calls.
3. Change other parameters as needed.
V.120 Calls
The second block is for clients making V.120 calls from their ISDN
Terminal Adapters to 123-555-1313. This number must be different from
the number that is called by the clients to establish a sync PPP call. The
port mode these calls is auto_detect to allow V.120 users to connect with
either terminal emulation (CLI) or establish a PPP connection.
To edit the file:
1. Enter the actual number to be used for V.120 calls.
2. Copy and edit the block for additional V.120 calls.
3. Change other parameters as needed.
Asynchronous Calls
The third and final session parameter block is the default session to be
used when the first two session definitions are not met. The RA6300 can
determine that a call has come from a standard analog modem. It is not
necessary to specify the phone number that has been called. Phone
numbers must only be defined for data calls.
