Dynamic Domain Name Service (DDNS)

DDNS is a method of keeping a domain name linked to a changing (dynamic) IP address. With
most Cable and DSL connections, you are assigned a dynamic IP address and that address is
used only for the duration of that specific connection. With the camera, you can setup your
DDNS service and the camera will automatically update your DDNS server every time it
receives a different IP address. Depending on the service, this update may take a few hours
Enable DDNS: Check this box enables the
DDNS function of the camera.
Server Address: Use this box to enter in the
DDNS server address or you can click on the
drop-box to the right to select a server.
Host Name: Enter your assigned DDNS host
name.
User Name: Enter your assigned user name.
Password/ Verify Password: Enter your assigned DDNS password twice for verification.
Timeout: This timeout is the number of hours to wait before the camera is disconnected from
the assigned DDNS server.
Status: The status of the DDNS function; whether it is enabled or disabled.
