Connecting Using Undecoded Scanner Emulation

To perform undecoded scanner emulation, connect the scanner to a portable data terminal, or a controller which
collects the data and interprets it for the host.

Connect the undecoded interface cable to the bottom of the scanner, as described in

Connect the other end of the interface cable to the scanner port on the portable data terminal or controller.

Connect the scanner to 5 volt decoders only. Connecting the scanner to a 12 volt decoder invalidates
the warranty.
