USING OTHER FEATURES

Enjoying pure hi-fi stereo sound

The "DIRECT STEREO" mode allows sources to bypass
the decoders and DSP processors of this unit so that you
can enjoy pure hi-fi sound from 2-channel PCM and
analog sources.
Press AMP and then press DIRECT ST. on the
remote control to select "DIRECT STEREO".

Notes
• To avoid unexpected noise, do not play CDs encoded in DTS
when the "DIRECT STEREO" mode is selected.
• When multi-channel signals (Dolby Digital and DTS) are input,
this unit automatically switches to the corresponding analog
input. When "DTS" is selected as the input mode (see page 31),
no sound will be output.
• No sound will be output from the subwoofer.
• "TONE CONTROL" (see page 29) and "SOUND MENU" (see
page 75) settings (except for speaker level settings) are not
effective.
• The front panel display automatically dims.

You can also select the "DIRECT STEREO" mode by pressing
the PROGRAM l / h buttons on the front panel repeatedly.

You can display the format, sampling frequency, channel,
bit rate, and flag data of the current input signal.
